Boiler Operator
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Electrical/Mechanical course
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- With certificate of Electrical Installation and Maintenance NCII or any other related competencies
- Knowledgeable in the whole process of boiler steam
- Can handle pressure
- Willing to be assigned in PHIVIDEC – Villanueva, Misamis Oriental
Job Description:
- Responsible for the proper start up and shut down procedures in the operation of the boiler with high regard to safety
- Monitor water level of the boiler and ensure that it is always in the normal working water level.
- Ensure that working pressure is maintained with constant monitoring of firewood feeding.
- Records daily operating parameters in the logsheet and submit to the immediate supervisor at the end of 24 hours operation.
- List possible problems and submit to immediate supervisor for maintenance schedule by Maintenance & Repair
- Conduct immediate troubleshooting in case feed pump is tripped off.
- Commence shutdown in case boiler water is at a low level and stop feeding of fuel (firewood/bunker) and inform the immediate supervisor
- Take sample of feed water to QA for hardness testing every morning.
- Responsible for regenerating the softener feed water in case hardness level is beyond 10ppm.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate Supervisor from time to time.
- Follow company rules and guidelines and implement GMP and 5S in the work place at all times.
