Purchasing Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development of reliable and alternate sources of supply to ensure the : accuracy of purchase information, source is legitimate and price of materials are competitive, quantity of the goods consistent with the quality and the specification required, deliveries of all goods are received w/in the stipulated period, claims due to shortages or any other discrepancies are settled promptly
- Selection of suppliers
- Checking of requisitions/ Purchase orders
- Issue of Purchase Orders
- Follow-up of purchase orders for delivery in due time
- Communication with Accounting Department regarding billings
- Communication with project site
- Maintenance of purchase records
- Maintenance of suppliers performance records/data
- Other related functions related to purchasing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree on business related or engineering course
- Must be proficient in MS Excel and other related programs needed for documentation or reporting.
- Must have knowledge in construction materials.
- Knowledgeable on SAP.
- 24 years old and above
- Preferably with experience in purchasing / procurement
